This is our Journey…
This is our Why…
Our lives were thrown into Kaos (mind the spelling) after the birth of our daughter at 32 weeks. Following a traumatic delivery and 7 long weeks in the NICU, we finally brought our baby girl home. Even with my background as a paediatric nurse, nothing had prepared me for the realities of life after giving birth. Welcome to the 4th trimester – the raw, overwhelming weeks when your body, mind, and family rhythm are still healing and trying to find balance.
Life at home only intensified. There were dogs to walk, laundry to tackle, bottles to sterilise, meals to prepare, a house to manage, an unsettled premie to care for and a mum still in recovery. We were drowning in expectations: to breastfeed, bond, “bounce back”, create a perfect nursery, all while keeping everything else afloat. We had access to every book, blog and expert but no support when the days and nights blurred together.
In many cultures there is a village that naturally surrounds new parents. But in Australia that village often is not there when you need it most. Parents today have more information and evidence than ever about best practice, yet no extra hands, and with both parents often working the lack of practical support is even more stark.
That is when Organised Kaos was born. It grew out of our lived experience of exhaustion, recovery and the missing village after birth. We know how vital those early months are and how little practical help is out there. We are here to step in, offering evidence based postpartum and caregiver support, so that parents do not just survive the newborn phase, they get to heal, connect and breathe.
We are committed to providing exceptional services to families in that newborn phase and well beyond.
